Joining Mommy’s Infodose http://www.mommysinfodose.info/2012/04/join-60-paypal-cash-giveaway-open-internationally.html#comment-4557 is definitely more fun than anything else right now ^^. I’m new to this blog world, well thanks to my friend who influences me. I tried joining some contest with freebies, give aways but unfortunately I never win. Hope this time I’ll win, desperately need it for my mom, she’ll be celebrating their Wedding Anniversary this coming May 26, 2012 (41 yrs w/ full of love).I’m planning to set up a dinner date at the garden. I’ll be the one to cook (seafood’s will be the star on the table), and im still undecided whether cake or leche flan on dessert.  My father was already passed away 7 yrs ago, so just me and my husband will be her dinner date. Hope it will make her anniversary day special, with your help Mommy.

Thanks in advance and have positive and happy day ahead!

Chocolate Cake...choco-choco-late!

It’s been ages since the last time I baked chocolate cake. But I remember it was on December 30,2011 I made 5 chocolate cakes! The 3 cakes were for my neighbors, 1 was for nang she and mark and the other 1 was for my momo and mom.

FYI, I learned my baking skills at CAHMSC talisay campus where I took my Food Technology course (suppose to be 4yr course), but after just 1 year I shifted into another course (Management Acctg.). But my passion for baking is always in my heart and I know, in right time I will get my measuring spoons and cup and my mixing machines  and I’ll make my super moist chocolate cake.
After 7 yrs., here it is, the evolution of my chocolate cake. Contact me for the recipe ^^.

This one was for Nang She Dec 8, 2010

Chicken ala King

Last time I made this, it was a hit! It was my momo’s birthday(husband). My sister in-law helped me rolled the loaf bread and made it to a “pastry “. For the recipe http://www.yummy.ph/recipe/chicken-a-la-king
For the pastry: flat the loaf bread and trim the edges with knife and form it to a muffin pan. Bake for 10 mins. or until lightly brown. Set aside. Cook the chicken ala king and spoon it to the prepared pastry. Top it with cheese (quick melt is recommended). Bake it for another 10 mins or until cheese is melted.

Shrimp Curry

My version of shrimp curry, mom and hubby likes it a lot.
It’s creamy with a little kick of paprika.

And here’s the recipe:

Shrimp, deveined
Canola oil for sautéing
Minced garlic
Chopped white onion
Coconut milk
Curry powder
Potatoes, sliced quarter
Carrots
Snap peas
Paprika, black pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
 Here’s how:

In a pan, put a tablespoon of oil, sauté garlic, onion and curry powder. Put shrimp until color change to pink (set aside the shrimp). Add potatoes, carrots and snap peas then the coconut milk. Cover until the vegetables are cooked already. Season with paprika, salt and pepper and add the shrimp. Cover for 2mins, serve hot with rice.

Hope you try this one.
